Handmade doll clothes fit baby dolls in the 36-40 cm length range. The dolls shown in the photo are 36 and 40 cm. Head circumference 33 and 34 cm. The set includes: a dark blue tracksuit - top and pants, starry sky pattern, hook-and-loop fastening on the back. Material: cotton knit. The clothes are very carefully sewn, seams are finished, and small details are hand-sewn. The fastenings are zippers, hook-and-loop tape, or snaps, to give the child a chance to learn to open and close them. The laces on the tracksuit are decorative, they help the child tell the front and back of the clothing apart. Care: The clothes can be machine washed on a gentle wash program, in a mesh laundry bag. Do not iron. How to measure a baby doll: lay the baby doll flat on a ruler. You don't need to account for curves along the back or around the knees. Measure the doll in a straight line from head to toe. Baby doll clothes are cut loose enough and long enough to accommodate its bent arms and legs. Playing with dolls develops both creativity and empathy in children. Working with small garments and their various fastenings develops children's fine motor skills. Fine motor skills are the coordination of hands and eyes, and the dexterity and precision of finger movement. We recommend washing woolen and linen handmade products by hand in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent, and drying them laid flat. Avoid hard wringing, heat and the tumble dryer so the item keeps its shape and colour.

In my work I place great emphasis on quality and sustainability. I mainly sew handmade products for the home, office, kindergarten, school and as gift bags, using leftovers from large-scale production and materials sourced from second-hand shops (upcycled/zero-waste).
Mailis Design products have supported various youth sports and cultural events, scouts and the local village society, Tallinn Zoo, children with cancer, homeless animals, large families and more.
