Handmade festive doll dress, dark red, velvet, lace, pearls on the chest. The dress fits dolls in the 43-48 cm size range (Baby Born, BB sister, Lissi doll, Baby Annabel and other similar dolls). The dress has small black snap fasteners on the back. Material: cotton velvet. Lace is synthetic. Care: gentle machine wash 30C. Do not iron, synthetic lace cannot withstand ironing. The clothes are very carefully sewn, the seams are finished, and the fasteners and tiny details are hand-sewn. How to measure a baby doll: lay the baby doll flat on a ruler. You don't need to account for curves along the back or around the knees. Measure the doll in a straight line from head to toe. Baby doll clothes have a loose enough cut and are long enough to accommodate its bent arms and legs. Playing with dolls develops children's creativity as well as empathy. Handling small clothes and their various fasteners develops children's fine motor skills. Fine motor skills are the coordination of hands and eyes, and the agility and precision of finger movement. Fine motor skills are important for a child's perception, attention, memory, thinking and speech, as well as reading skill development.

How do I care for woolen and linen products?
We recommend washing woolen and linen handmade products by hand in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent, and drying them laid flat. Avoid hard wringing, heat and the tumble dryer so the item keeps its shape and colour.

In my work I place great emphasis on quality and sustainability. I mainly sew handmade products for the home, office, kindergarten, school and as gift bags, using leftovers from large-scale production and materials sourced from second-hand shops (upcycled/zero-waste).
Mailis Design products have supported various youth sports and cultural events, scouts and the local village society, Tallinn Zoo, children with cancer, homeless animals, large families and more.
