Patchwork quilt Dance Festival (220 x 160 cm)

(8)
€210.00

These 2 patchwork quilts were sewn as prizes for the 12th Estonian Women's Group and 3rd Estonian Maiden's Group Dance Competition, held on 20.09.2020 in Harku parish, at the Meriküla study and sports center. The quilts use striped fabrics in the colors of Estonian folk costumes (Olgitex OÜ), nearly 50 different ones in each. The 12 circles in the center symbolize 12 dancers in folk costume skirts. The striped fabrics of the two quilts vary. In my work, patchwork made from striped fabrics is a tribute to our song and dance festival tradition, to folk costumes, and to all the dedicated choir and dance directors and composers who keep it all alive and at a high level for the whole nation and the world! The quilt is sewn from cotton and linen fabric. In the pattern I used cotton striped fabrics - up to 50 different ones, i.e. up to 50 striped patterns from folk skirts of different Estonian communities. Quilt size 220 x 160 cm.

Frequently asked questions

How and how quickly will my order arrive?
We ship orders to a parcel machine or by courier across Europe. All products in the shop are dispatched within 2–7 business days. For special orders we agree the delivery time separately.
Can I return or exchange a product?
Yes, products bought from the online shop have a 14-day right of return from the date you receive them. The item must be unused and in its original condition. Items made specially to order cannot be returned.
How do I care for woolen and linen products?
We recommend washing woolen and linen handmade products by hand in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent, and drying them laid flat. Avoid hard wringing, heat and the tumble dryer so the item keeps its shape and colour.
